Our typography was built out of the passionate, cool and fearlessly original attributes that come Rock & Roll, manifesting our headline font, Generation Sans.
The font builds from a typographic gesture (we’ve named, the reverberation effect) in an attempt to visualize sound, vibrations and music.

Generation Sans has been drawn to have four mathematically proportionate cuts, designed to allow the font to flex from functional to more expressive depending on the application and messaging.

From neutral to dynamic, the four cuts in the typeface allow us to turn up or down the volume in our typography.

As a display typeface, Generation Sans contains 8 letters that don’t have the reverberation applied to them for legibility purposes (flat letterforms).

Generation Sans is used as a graphic element. With different levels built into Generation Sans, there’s numerous ways to apply the reverberation effect. Ultimately the font pushes the boundaries of legibility (which is at times rock & roll), therefore, we advise using Söhne Fett and Kraftig for building messages outside of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Use for punchy headlines
Generation Sans is optimally suited for headlines 1-5 words in length like artist names and titles. As a display font, the shorter and bigger the type can be, the better!

Mix reverb with regular
See the reverb effect like salting a dish, it requires the right balance. While the font has unaffected characters, there may be circumstances that require a “spicing down” of the reverb effect.

One reverb cut per headline
We recommend using one reverb cut per title / headline treatment to create simplicity and consistency in messaging.
