We are music’s highest honor
We are bold, authentic, innovative and alive.
Cool-hype, not over-hype
DO
Build drama through syntax
With Fleetwood Mac, it’s the beats that wowed us. The melodies that moved us. The lyrics that make our souls sing.
Sound excited, be evocative
In a room filled with music greats, the air feels electric.
Use unexpected words and metaphors
These aren’t simply hits – this music made the universe split.
DON’T
Fangirl
Fleetwood Mac took to the stage like superheroes, every detail flawless like the iconic gods they are.
Over-sell
Hands-down, the most iconic music event of the year. (we can imply that, but saying it outright is unconvincing)
Rely on cringey cliches
Our souls need music like the desert needs the rain.
Casually excellent
DO
Take pride in what we do
We’re honored to bring together the greats who have defined music through time – and who continue to inspire the next generation.
Treat everyone like a peer
Whether you’re a lifelong groupie or a new fan, the music belongs to each of us and all of us.
Know our stuff
When Fleetwood Mac added American folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks to the group, it instigated their shift from blues to pop-rock.
DON’T
Speak in an academic tone
From their inception, it was apparent that Fleetwood Mac would instigate a shift in the tone of the cultural discourse.
Use overly trendy language
Talk about a glow up – Stevie Nicks’ iconic looks had us shook.
Brag or belittle
The greats we honor are a rare breed, their influence far longer lasting than the TikTok phenomenon who blew up overnight.
